so my twins' 2nd bday is coming up (can't believe it's going so fast!) and friends and family are asking what they can get for our little ones, a boy and a girl. my group of work friends usually pitch in for one big gift (around $100, total) for each others' kids, so now it's our turn, and i don't know what to ask for. and family members are asking what the twins need/want. i was thinking the radio flyer tricycle, but other than that i have no clue.funny games for baby www.abc4kids.org

Christmas was good here, nice but a little hard at the same time. My dad has just been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, which doesn't have a very long prognosis with it so Christmas was a little bitter sweet this year. It's a pretty crazy time of year for me right now. DS's 1st birthday this week. DD's 5th birthday next week. Her party this weekend. Swimming lessons and make up swimming lessons (missed last week as were sick), kindy, school, midwife appointment, glucose test, gestational diabetes specialist, etc.

Im so useles on this fourm thing LOL..
Well Matthew is doing very well.. he is also very huge (11.5kg and 77cm at 9m/o is now almost 11m/o)
Well a couple of weeks ago he decided he no longer wanted to be breast feed so is mainly on formula with the odd breastfeed.. we found out a few days ago that we are expecting #2 due in july (explaind the stop in breast feeding from matthew!)

I agree, thinking about first birthdays already! Time is flying!

I was looking forward to becoming a mum and had wanted it for a long time. But I'm enjoying it and my girl even more than I thought I would. Everyone tells you how quick babies grow. I have really tried to take it all in, and truly appreciate every stage but I still look back at the newborn photos and think...whoa, is that wee bundle really my little girl?? The days seem to blur very easily. Yep, she'll be borrowing the car before I know it!

M20- Aww if your not 100% sure maybe give your body a break and give you and your other family so time togeather to have family time. Glad you have somthing else to think about. Also somthing that really helped me when I miscarried the first time was writing a small letter in the baby book we had got for that baby. Hey all, as Panda said, sadly things for us didn't end to well. I went into hospital Wednesday last week as something just didn't feel right, had a scan and there was just a gest sac and a yolk sac measuring 5w5d when I should have been 7w2d. Got home at about Lunch time that day and straight away started cramping/bleeding etc. My best friend is currently fourteen weeks pregnant which I will admit is a bit hard sometimes (love her to death and can't think of a more deserving person to have a wee baby) but am starting work on her baby shower (miles away I know lol) present this coming week so hopefully having something to focus on will be good. We are definitely going to be trying again, some days I want to start trying as soon as possible and other days I just don't know. Hope everyone is doing okay! Life gets so busy that its hard to remember to check in here.

We are expecting baby number two! We are happy though it was a bit of an early surprise. Mum2Ollie already knows as we were briefly in the same birth group but sadly for her it wasn't meant to be. So we are cautious too but the morning sickness isn't letting up which I will take as a good sign.

Hey ladies been a bit slack lately! How is everyone going? Cute things Emmy does? Hmmm. He is just really really pushy! I sing to him sometimes and he promptly wacks my mouth to shut me up haha. He brings us stuff when he wants it but can't work it out himself. He will not tolerate being read to as he just doesn't want to sit still for that long. He's pretty bloody full on to be honest. He doesn't want to hold my hand ever nor does he want to sit in his pram. He's a pretty bloody quick runner. So I am buying him a harness and reins! They have super cute ones on Ebay that look like little animal backpacks so waiting for that to arrive. yum for homemade potatoes! yep loving this beautiful sunny weather though Zac is really hard to keep a hat on! He pulls it off instantly. I made ties for it but he ripped them out May have to get a toggle style hat.

Zac isn't overly keen on holding my hand and sometimes he doesn't but I walk and block him from walking towards the road. He doesn't really try anything though and we have a quiet area to walk which makes it easier. Nadia - I thought I had to log in each time as well but then reaslised it I was already logged in and then read the banner (on another forum) for people who are having trouble...

Man if I let PT walk down the street we would cause some sort of accident he doesn't hold my hand and just wanders about telling me all about what he is seeing - so he only gets to walk around our place and when there is open space or two people!!!

wow they have changed Oh Baby! We are doing okay here.. Zac is recovering (I hope) from Croup. But bring on Summer!

Love September because for me its the start of all the good things to happen over the next few months..

Does anyone have cute things their baby does to share? Zac has recently learnt to bring something to us if he wants it, mostly books so I am reading him stories all day pretty much! Yeah when I said I was leaving and why it was like I called them all bad mothers (the play centre mum) was shocked by how personally they all took it!

I think I'll join a casual little play group or something. Play centre was really full on and far too political for me personally.

What is everyone's babies up to nowadays? Sam is currently running around like a mad baby... he doesn't know it yet, but he's going down for a nap, mwahahaha!

His night sleeps have turned to absolute MUSH, and is hanging with mum and dad in our bed most of the night. I would like a good night sleep soon bubba!

ALSO he has only just realised he can turn from back to front, so it is a big mission to get him to sleep now... joy.

In fact, the way this beautiful little boy sleeps (or doesn't sleep) makes me not want to have another baby, which sucks... Haha Damon will not hold my hand either! He can now stand up and walk along without having to get up on anything.

Yes we have been very busy lately! We finally have a fulltime walker!! Its been about a week and a half now? So cute to watch but he is stubborn. Walking him to the fruit shop (a few houses down) and he refuses to hold my hand.. guess the independence is starting!

Sick of winter too though admittedly it has probably been warmer here than where you guys are and I feel it is warming up a bit? Yep I so know what you mean - we went to DH's mothers place yesterday for a change of scene, which was great and today we had a friend come to visit for an hour or so which is good and I have just walked him to sleep for fingers crossed he will remain a happy boy!

It is meant to be clearing on Monday.... something (hopefully) to look forward to.

Nadia - winter colds suck PT has one as well and this one it seems like he has a constant runny nose grrr poor things and the weather I am getting sick of rain!!! Although it is winter so as long as we get a good summer I will be happy.

m2o-Im the same with no letting Damon sleep in our bed! He has never been aloud to sleep in our bed and im not starting as he would think he can every night! He is a good sleeper at night but hardly has a day nap.

M2O - man I wish I had your little sleepers. PT is generally good (although putting up a good fight at the moment) but is an early riser so wakes around 5.30 (sometimes earlier) but we leave him in his own cot till 6 then get up, oh how I wish he would sleep longer but it is better than being awake at 3am for about an hour, which has only just recently stopped so baby steps!

And tantrums yep PT has started them already as well, very funny but not cool either. Hi QueenBee! How rude of me not to say hello before!
Emmett has no cot problems, but I'm probably considered to be quite mean when it comes to sleeping. My family is constantly telling me I'm too harsh lol. Neither of my boys have EVER slept in my bed. I will not allow it. If Oliver (my eldest) is unwell he is welcome to watch TV in my bed during the day but his bedtime routine stays the same and he sleeps in his own bed. It's been that way since he was born and Emmett gets the same deal. My kids are amazing sleepers. Both boys are in bed at 6 and up between half six and half seven. Emmett still has two sleeps a day averaging about an hour and a half to two hours.
