(((hugs))) Emma, I hope the little ones get better soon, and grrr at the doctors, its alright for them to not be impressed that we want to give our kids drugs to help them get better, but they are not the ones that are up all day and all night with them.

Oooh Vanessa, I hope Charli is ok! It's so awful when they're sick

Both gremlins slept well last night, and have survived today like little troopers. They were so well behaved on the flight, hardly a peep out of them, and they've survived on very little sleep today. I've now put them to bed dosed up with Pamol and phenargan even tho it's only just after 5pm and am hoping they'll sleep well and wake up tomorrow all refreshed, poor wee things. Sienna is still really chesty, Mum commented on how rattly she sounds, so hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon. Mercedes is quite rattly too, so hoping she doesn't get it full blown like Sienna has.

awwww poor sienna! and you too emma! i hope she's doing better now? i'm guessing you're in oz now so i hope the plane trip went ok
we had to take charli to the after hours yesterday too because of stuffiness and wheezing but they said to give her plenty of fluids and that was it!!   
she's still stuffy and wheezy so i'm going to my lovely GP tomorrow

Sleeping like a little baa lamb. I just went to check on her and she is in the exact same starfish position she was when I checked on her two hours ago, with the little light on her apnoea monitor flashing green with her breathing movements. Be careful with her on a plane if she has a stuffy nose! It might upset her ears. We're back, and we have drugs Poor wee thing has a chest infection and an inflamed throat and also had a low grade fever which she's had for days, so she's got antibiotics and he gave me the phenargan as well but only coz I asked, I don't think he was all that impressed that I was planning on drugging her to sleep. sorry to hear things not great, hope it all come right quickly. Maybe try some Olbis Oil get from chemist to help with stuffiness. You cant put on skin but on tissue inside pillow case or on hanky for on plane. I saw the other post about formula & was going to mention gastrolight(sp) but thats not for consitpation? Maybe something you could try tho to get the fluids up & it comes in nice flavours.

I have had enough of listening to Sienna scream and wheeze and grunt and scream all day and all night and even when she is awake she is feral and grouchy. We saw the GP on Monday who would have prescribed antibiotics for the chest infection except that she was still having diarrohea and antibiotics can upset the tummy even more.
So I am about to take her to the after hours doctor, and this time I want antibiotics, and I want phenargan so she can get a damn good sleep. She is so blocked up that everytime she finally falls asleep she coughs and wakes herself up and it's become a vicious cycle. The phenargan might help clear up her snuffliness a bit too as well as helping her to sleep. With a bit of luck if I give her a dose of antibiotics and a dose of phenargan she'll sleep for a couple of hours and wake up much happier.
