The main reason they want us to stage the orders is because they are having their full field done. They are timed on how long people are in the lines and how long they take to get the orders out. The timing is usually done between 12-1pm.

The way Teresa said has worked really well for us.

I dont think they wanted us to make a big order because they are having head office in to check them out etc.??

Bunnings cafe is not that kid friendly our coffee group went there and we got told our kids were being too noisey and could we keep it down!! Ours does have a closed in area but not in very good view of the cafe dining area it's weird. And much better for older kidlets too.

I know what they are having done so it will interesting to see how well they handle a big group in while it is done. They reason they have asked us to stage our meal buying is because they get timed to see how fast they get the meals out and how long the cue lines are so if we all went at once it would be bad for them. Have just spoken with McDonalds (and remembered too late to get the guy's name ). Anyway... I have asked him to unlock party room #1 (the big one, opp the playground) from 11.00am and that's all cool. There will be a Manager's meeting there at 3.00pm so we need to be out of the party room by then. They usually have a condition that you pre-order. It's going to be a busy day for McD's because they are having some visitation from head office (Auckland) or something. So if whoever wants to buy food bear that in mind, that there may be delays. They would prefer us to stagger our ordering, perhaps we could order on arrival, but anyway we can sort that out on the day.

So in the meantime it's big ups for McD's and see you in 1 1/2 weeks!

although my son is not using the playground - don't you think the bigger room will be better? It would be nice if all of us could sit in the same room? Also for the crawling littley's a cordon off room is best. Its just IMO though

Yep there'll be plenty of help but McDs on the Square DO actually have a lift - up/near their fire escape stairwell. mmm lollipops is a bit expensive especially since most of us (well, not me but others) have got bubs that are really too little to play much, plus for the older ones.. it has gone downhill alot really, we went a few weekends back and it's not very well kept anymore at all.

mcdonalds on the square might be good and we can keep an eye out for thos who need a lift with the buggies up the stairs and still has places to play. the thing with most cafes etc is, that even if they are "child-friendly" they don't have a big place to play etc like mc'ds does..

Ok I had a look and 7-4 Churchyard is child friendly but I had a very bad experience there last weekend and i'm not all that keen on going back. There is also Clarks in the library but I haven't been there before so can't say anything about it.

Palmy mums I really don't think McDs on R is going to be big enough and I've been racking my brains for a better place. How would lollipops be?
