Hi everyone (who still has a bit of spare time to get on the internet since babies have arrived!) Hope everyone is enjoying motherhood, I love the names everyone has picked for their children and the photos are really cool. My twins are doing pretty good, have started the routine from "the contented babies first year" book and things are definatley easier! I would reconmend the book and would love to hear from anyone that has used it as well for any extra tips.

Hi everyone!
OMG what dramas. I feel like i havent been on for a lifetime. Congrats to you Gaylene, finally we have our little ones.
Congrats to everyone else as well.

Well as you all know Zack was born at 5.08 on the 3rd April. He weighed 8lbs 12ounces. 55cm long and 38cm head circumfrence.
I went in at 6.00 pm that night. Had all contractions in my back..It was excruciating!!! Had pethidine, but it didnt touch the sides. After four hours on my knees practically screaming, they checked me and was only 6cm dialated. By 10.30 i had a epi (thank the lord above!!) By three in the mornin, i was finaly ready to start pushing. After two hours of this, he was almost out but just couldnt get him right out, it was then decided that the ventouse cup was needed as his head was a wee bit stuck. So the doc pulled and i pushed, and at 5.08 he was finally here! It was exhausting, and i ended up with a small tear, however all is well now and we are at home.
Feeding has been a mission, and i have terribly cracked and sore nipples. He didnt sleep very much at first, but now we are getting somewhere. Bar from the first night home everything has been lovely! He is just so precious, a long awaited gift!
Will post a piccie as soon as i figure out how to do it, and obviously get some time. Am still feeling quite overwhelmed by this whole motherhood business.

Well Paige has been not sleeping the greatest at the moment....better during the day than at night (go figure). Is slowly getting better so hopefully sometime in the next few weeks we will start to get longer than an hour or two at night.

Hi everyone,

Yay I just made it into the March mummies club -

Baby Alexander John Tony was born at 8.57pm weighing 3310g/7lb4oz 52.5cm long Birth went well appart from the fact maternity was so busy that I had to give birth in the maternity ward not a birthing room! Felt it bit sorry for the poor lady's trying to sleep! Will get clever husband to work out how to post some photo's soon.

Sorry haven't had time to be on the computer but looks like I missed some huge dramas!

I hope everyone is doing well with there new babies.

I couldn't have said it better myself Daph. It's just wrong and heartless.

Lilia is just gorgeous.

We got 2 lots of 4 hours and a 3 1/2 hour last night. Down at 7.15pm and awake at 8am. So up twice in the night but at least its more consistent. We have been getting some longer first stretches but then the one after that could be two hours later. Things definately feel like they are on the improve here and more often than not he goes to sleep within 10 mins during the day not really putting up too much of a protest just enough to be heard. Unfortunately I have some pretty awful news too. I received the following text from Claire:

'My sleeping angels with wings arrived at 11:24pm & 11:34pm last night. REST IN PEACE MY DARLINGS. Love from mummy & daddy xxx'

I'm so sorry Claire. My heart goes out to you, your DP and family at this heartbreaking time. Rest in peace little ones
