I have a Dr Sprott mattress protector too - Shes doesnt even seem to make a dent in the mattress but Im sure she will as she gets older. I've only put foam mattresses in the cot, and at the moment Kiya is sleeping on a foam mattress. Josiah has an innersprung mattress on his bed, but that's only because Kiya has bunks that came with foam mattresses and Josiah's bed is the one we got for our boarder before he was born.]]>

Good quality heavy density stuff. I choose it because it was obviously the cheaper option & wanted new mattresses for each child. Also easier to maneuver around & change & flip etc. BUT the major con for me was apparently innerspring harbours lots of allergens & the spring coil things are a great breeding ground for bed mites.<br /><br />Did spend a big amount on a good quality single bed with innerspring mattress for DS at 18mnths - Hoping that should last for 15+yrs]]>

Remembering to turn them isn't a huge deal as their head makes an indent where they've been lying so when I change the sheets I always flip it so the indent is up the other end.<br /><br />I just couldn't justify paying twice the $$$ for innersprung when a firm foam matress is perfectly functional.]]>

I thought it had more support, didn't want to remember to turn and flip a foam matress as I had heard you had to do that. Also I read somewhere early on in my pregnancy that if you can afford an innersprung it was advised you get one over foam so I did.]]>
