It'd soften and loosen it, and then it would wash off.  Mum used to do that when we were little, but I couldn't say how good or bad it would be for a baby. I used grape seed oil on it and that worked really well, basically left it on there for the day and then combed it all out that night. Looked gross coming off but was a gentle way of removing it. I think it was pretty much all gone by the time she was 6 months..]]>

The doctor prescribed them some diprozone (sp) lotion which helped clear up the redness but they still have a little cradle cap on their scalps. Maya never had it so I don't know when they'll grow out of it.]]>

I used to massage his head with vaseline leave it for 5-10mins then wipe it out with a dry cloth or in the bath.  Didn't think it would work but it did!]]>
