Worth a try I suppose.

You say you have a 13 year old coming? ring them before hand and ask them to organise a game!

treasure hunts are good, put them in "teams" with a big kid and a little kid. worked well the few times I've tried this. Pin the tail on Nemo could be a game!

They don't really get competitive until after their 3rd birthday, so anything co-operative is good. Also everything goes over a 1yo's head lol.

That's a wide range of ages you are trying to cater to. The 8+ yo's might want to bring a ball to kick around and leave the "babies" to the games?

You can make a rod, with a peice of bamboo and some string, and tie a magnet to the end of the string.

Cut out fish shapes and make a pond on the floor using blue tissue or a blue table cloth / sheet (and you can put in things like shells, paper seaweed, other fishy / sea related things!!) and basically play it like pass the parcel....when the music stops whoever has the rod has to catch a fish. (use paperclips on the fish so they will stick to the magnet!) have a number on the fish which relates to a prize or have the prize written on the fish. (think easter show with the ducks!)

Quite good fun for littlies and for the older ones too....

Good Luck!

Fish shaped cake, Fish cut sammies..(that is all I have though of so far)

I thought it would it be nice to do 1 game. I want it to be relevant for my son but also for the other kids, the ages are 1, 4,5,8,10,12 & 13 The only idea I can come up with is pass the parcel and rig it so the music stops on a particular person with their specific prize....

Any other suggestion that might be better than an old fashioned pass the parcel?
