Ginger I just read your blog and I'm in tears for you! I can only imagine how frustrated you must be feeling to have that Dr say there's nothing wrong and to wait ANOTHER 2 years!!!

All good thanks busymum

There is nothing we can do except enjoy life in the meantime, so that's what we're doing! We have are going on holiday at the end of next week and I'm really looking forward to it - just some time to relax etc.

I figure that 12 months isn't too bad - it's 12 cycles, and I know that as soon as that time is up, I'll start IVF so it's a finite period. That helps! Having a plan really helps!!

I have been following your posts and reading your blog since I found Oh Baby, and I have to save I really admire your bravery and honesty, and hope that everything turns out well for you and DH. Thanks so much everyone for your kind words, love and support yesterday while I was feeling a bit crushed.

I'm getting my feet back under me today, and probably the B vitamin content of the Elevit is kicking in as well ...hehe

And believe me, there is no way we're givng up on this thing. The specialist told me he believes that IVF would work like a dream for us, so whatever happens (or doesn't as the case may be) ...this time next year!!

Ginger real sorry things didn't go as planned.
Have you considered adoption, the reason i ask is my mum and dad had unexplain infertility and the adopted me! at just 2 weeks old, i still remember my mum telling me the route she drove to pick me up.

That's fantastic that you have a plan of attack. I know for me, that once I had a plan, even though it wasn't exactly the outcome I had hoped for at the time, it seemed to take a lot of the pressure off in the interim. Ah, well ... we couldn't have it being easy now, could we?

After the appointment, Al and I went for a coffee to discuss our plan. We will wait 12 months. We won't go on the waiting list. When we get to 12 months, we'll pay for the private cycles. There is no way on earth that I'm giving it 2 to 3 years. 12 months I can manage, and we can try to have some time not living our life for this thing. But that's our time frame.
