But honestly, in my case - I just pawn off the child to my sister or Gareth. Or put on a DVD so I can cook the dinner in peace And definitely DON'T try and throw dinner parties!

DH has only been away for work for three days and I cannot wait for him to come home tomorrow - I'm exhausted! How do you single mums do it? I have even more respect for you all now (and I had heaps before - my mum was a single parent and I know how hard she worked). I need a break and it's only been three days! Granted, inviting the inlaws and then my family over for dinner two nights in a row wasn't the most relaxing of times...but still...
