You have to decide how you want to deal with it and stick to that. i think i used to use my firm voice and tell him it want acceptable...etc etc...now tho if he does whine at me i tell him he must be tired and he can have a nap and that always changed his attitude.
its so hard to not let it get to you - i dont think daycare would help cause he would still whine at you when he got home.

Do you think he's bored? Toy library, movies (we limit it to one per day), library visit could help.

I was soooooo glad to get Maya back to preschool last week for a break from the constant whinging! If you believe her, she is always hungry - every five minutes "I'm huuuuungry" - either there's something wrong with her and she's not digesting her food properly or she is jst bored!

I do find it helps to shut myself in my bedroom, coz if I tell her to go to hers she hangs around and whinges some more about how she doesn't want to go to her bedroom, so I find it easier just to take myself away then she has no one to whinge at.

Its constant all day every day. He doesnt even talk to me nicely half the time its just a whining voice. And I dont know why cos its just me he does it with, when his dad comes home he is fine, when we go to other peoples houses he is fine but the minute he is home alone with me it starts. Im at the point where im thinking of putting him into preschool every morning or something cos Im just not being the type of mother I wanted to be. I cant stand it anymore, its doing my head in. We have tried telling him to talk nicely to me and not giving him what he wants till he does but that doesnt work, Ive tried ignoring him and all he does is start pulling on me till i physically have to pry him off. He still uses his manners and says please but its just the constant at me and moaning. Any suggestions?

Edited by my2angels
