I’m 31/F, my parents divorced when I was 6 and I’ve been living with my mom since then.

For the longest time, I felt I wasn’t able to do a lot of the things I wanted to eg, work/move overseas, travel often because I felt I needed to be there to take care of my mom. Also in my culture, children are encouraged to take care of their elderly parents

Now that I’m in my 30s, I might be settling down with someone in the near future and am considering to move overseas as well.
