Author: toomanyvowels
Subject: 45015
Posted: 30 March 2016 at 12:28am

Hi,

I had a laparoscopy in Feb which revealed that although my endo has gone (after 8 years of severe endo that required laps to remove it every 1.5-2 years!) I have adenomyosis. That explains why I'm still so sore all the time and my periods are horrendous even though I no longer have endo. Anyway, our son will be two in May and we've been TTC for over a year with no conception. Actually seeing as it's my son's bday in less than 2 months I guess we've been ttc for closer to 2 years than 1! When I asked my gyno if the adenomyosis could be causing fertility issues she was quite vague..! We are booked for our follow up appointment with FA in April (first appt I was told I needed another lap then we'd make a plan) so I guess I'm just wondering what they might suggest? Hoping someone on here has adenomyosis and can tell me my options as far as fertility assistance goes?

Thank you :)
