Author: luha226083
Subject: 44558
Posted: 05 October 2017 at 1:13am

Thank you for sharing your story, believe for many women this is a great gift - to read positive stories. This gives them strength and faith in the fact that everything is possible. The main thing is not to lose heart and fight for your happiness! Often failures cause us to deviate from our dreams. We lose interest in the struggle, we stop resisting fate, it's probably easier to live! But then we will regret the lost time. And no one can return this time, we will lose it forever. And what could be worse than senseless regrets about the past. You know, I very often regret my past. I made so many mistakes, many mistakes can not be fixed. It's so depressing for me, it always seemed to me that time was slow. But only now I have felt how quickly it leaves and how little I managed to do. It seemed to me that I would have time to do all the important things afterwards, I mean fateful questions. But unfortunately now there are only regrets, now I am lonely and hard for me. Therefore, women, do not be lonely, fight for maternal happiness. Do not close your soul, value yourself, love yourself, despite these problems. If we were given a life, we must live it worthily! And most importantly do not despair, now the medicine is very developed, the IVF procedure, the surrogate maternity, the donation of eggs and sperm. All this makes it possible to change the fate of many families facing this problem.

    Author: Wikq225913
Subject: 44558
Posted: 03 October 2017 at 2:25am

For a long time I was going to write my own story. It seems strange, but I'm very pleased to dive into memories, live some more events and feel the feelings that at that moment overwhelmed me.

My story began when I married 25 for a loved one and a loved one, I clearly realized that I really want a child. At that time, I could not even imagine what trials were waiting for me. First there was a miscarriage for an unclear reason, then a year later a long-awaited pregnancy that ended with an ectopic pregnancy. Because of the severe blood loss, I had to spend four days in the intensive care unit, which turned my outlook on many common things. From the hospital, I came out a degenerated person, more tolerant of circumstances. I clearly understand what life is and what it takes to make it better.

A year later, when physical and emotional wounds were protracted, I ventured on a trip to the doctor to solve the problem of childlessness. Having carried out all the necessary examinations, I heard from the doctor that she did not see any obstacles to pregnancy even in spite of one remote tube. In connection with which she decided to send me home and wait for the onset of a spontaneous pregnancy.

In anticipation of the miracle, I lived for another 4 years. To decisive actions, I was pushed by the pregnancy of my best friend, who was waiting for the second child. I knew about all her doubts whether it was worth leaving the child from a person with whom she was not at that time in a family relationship. I also knew about her abortions. Probably each of us who is in search of his motherhood, wonders why someone so easily and easily gets to ?! For what exactly have I got such difficulties?

Everyone knows that science does not stand still, and I was aware that there are methods of IVF. Thank you beloved site, which took me as a lost girl and gave me invaluable information, and also gave nice companions.

Having studied a lot of materials on IVF procedure, I decided to act. My choice fell on one of the best centers in Kiev biotexcom, then I had to decide with the doctor. Then I decided to trust my intuition, choosing a doctor from the photo, and the final decision was made.

Now I remember myself, cowardly and afraid of every visit to the doctor, and I'm embarrassed. My doctor turned out to be a very nice and perceptive person, her tact and patience conquered me. After collecting the necessary tests, which took me about two months, I entered the IVF protocol. I was stimulated, which resulted in 13 eggs, but only 5 of them were frozen. To avoid side effects after stimulation, my doctor and I decided to rest one cycle and then rush into the victorious battle.

It is correctly said that very much depends on the psychological attitude and confidence in the expected result. I had no doubts for a second that since the embryo transfer I was already pregnant!

As a result of my efforts, just in time, through the planned cesarean section, my baby was born, in the person of whom we, the whole family, acquired a new meaning of life.

Summing up my story, I would like to tell all the girls who have secret desires for motherhood: do not waste time, do not be afraid of doctors and let all your dreams come true!

    Author: stasy226228
Subject: 44558
Posted: 01 October 2017 at 5:55am

Hi, it seems to me that looking for a surrogate mother on the Internet is not the best option. You'd better go to the clinic, there you will be asked to choose a surrogate mother from the clinic's base. These women have already undergone all the necessary medical research and interviewed them with a psychologist. I mean, these women are completely ready for a mere surrogate maternity - both morally and physically. In addition, I can advise you to look for an unmarried or divorced girl. This must be done for that. to avoid the influence of her husband on her decision. After all, you understand that scandals can arise in their family, and this will negatively affect her well-being, and in the end you will suffer. Therefore do not trust girls who on the Internet write messages that they want to become a surrogate mother. Because you can not verify the authenticity of their documents, medical certificates. And anyway, what will you know about this woman? As for the clinic, we were in Kiev in biotexcom. But you have to remember that you need to properly draw up a contract with a surrogate mother. And also it will be necessary to describe the most important aspects and aspects of your cooperation there. In general, everything is not so difficult, but it is necessary to approach this matter wisely. We liked the clinic, so I can advise. In your country only non-commercial surrogate motherhood is allowed? right? or I'm wrong? waiting for your reply).

Can I ask you which clinic you chose for this? I'm also looking. I know little about surrogate motherhood. I'm thinking about the best way to perform this procedure. Surrogate motherhood is illegal in England. This means that we need to look for a clinic abroad. The first question is - how and where to find a surrogate mother? I know that there are many agencies that deal with this, but their fees are so high. And I heard that they offer the same surrogate mother to several family couples. And this means that for them it is only business and there is no human approach to clients. Maybe there are other ways to find a surrogate mother. Will it be normal to look for it on the Internet? I saw many girls who offer services to a surrogate mother. Do we need a lawyer? I have no idea how to do it right. The second question: what prices? How much we have to pay and who will quote the price. What do we have to pay for? Maybe you could help me if you started your procedure.

I'm in the 10 day wait after FET on a 6 day FET. This is my second full round of IVF and third transfer. First one BFN, second one miscarried at 7 weeks. This is our only embryo left after genetic testing and therefore only one to transfer. Have been torturing myself by HPT since 4 days post transfer. I'm now 6 days post FET and still getting BFN. I can't help but feel it's not going to work out. I had some bleeding on the day of the transfer that also came with some mucus, I wonder if that was it not sticking? I cannot stop crying, it's ludicrous. I feel like I'm starting the grieving process of accepting my childless fate.

I had similar challenges in communication as I was on the list when they were changing from OFS to FA and so no one could tell me how long my wait was going to be (I never even got a letter!). I did find it was helpful to call the nurses in Dunedin each month to check in with my day 1 and enquire if there was any update. They are super lovely but super busy so you're better off chasing them than waiting for them to call you. Also I seemed to get more info going direct to the Dunedin nurses than through the Chch funding co-ordinator - assuming you have already had an appt with one of the doctors there then you will already be in their system so they should hopefully be able to look you up.

The nurses there are really supportive and encouraged me to call them every month on my day 1, at which time I could ask them for any updates on timing. You can pay for a cycle and still stay on the public waiting list- we have done 4 rounds- public, then a private cycle, then another public round before our final private cycle. If you can afford it, I would do a private funded round while you wait for your space to come up, then hopefully you won't need it... We finally got our baby boy in January- our lucky 9th embryo- it was the best money we ever spent. Good luck x

There isn't any medicine for pcos by itself, but eating a diabetic-friendly diet (I find a lot of good recipes from paleo diet sites) and not too many refined carbs is a good start. If you also are overweight you can ask your doctor about taking metformin - it's a drug for diabetics which increases your sensitivity to insulin and can help overweight pcos sufferers maintain a better hormone balance which can help with weight loss.

Apart from that, the best pcos medicine is daily exercise - it's just a condition that means we have to exercise more than some other people in order to stay healthy. No magic drugs, but exercise really does help!

Always good to know how others are finding the change from OFS to FA in Dunedin. Turns out our last private egg collection showed although I have lots of egg stores, that they are of very poor quality- none made it overnight after collection, all were abnormal. So... At least I have an answer of sorts as to why we haven't been getting pregnant naturally OR via IVF (2 rounds, 2 transfers in first round). Has been an expensive way of finding out :/. Had a breakdown 2 weeks ago after finding out last IVF round results - I'm usually so rational- and haven't made a total comeback yet.

In terms of public service- we have been scored for Dunedin as you know in May 2015- eligible as of 1 Jan 2016 -although since last private round we have had contact to say it will most likely be delayed due to change over until mid/late next year. Was hoping we may get re-scores since they now have a 'reason' which thy didn't have before. Sort of feel that I should step-aside as by the time they see me there is SO little possibility any eggs are ok (another year down the track!) and I should be letting some other people take our a slot.

As you mention- life seems on hold for the last few years, and now for another year. I have had to turn down so many opportunities of work and other to 'wait'.

Sometimes I can't wait until I'm 45 and all of this is behind me. I know it's not good to wish away your life, but sometimes it just feels too much.

Really wish you well and hope the treatment is going ok for you. Baby dust to you!!!

In my experience the wait for an appt at OFS has been 2-4 weeks if you're paying privately. Once I got scored and got on the IVF wait list in April we only had to wait until Nov for treatment which I thought was pretty good! Only found out in October though as they couldn't tell us anything until the change to FA had been made and damn it was hard not knowing and just 'hoping' they had me on the list! Has been all good since we got started though.

Once you scored with enough points, you go on the waiting list. As long as you are on the list before 40 then you are eligable (does not matter how old you are when your number is called). Don't wait for a public funded appointment for scoring, just on the list for IVF.
We had the changeover in Auckland, and whilst we had no idea how long the waiting list was while the changeover was happening (got scored Feb last year, got allocated July this year for treatment, and told of that July last year - no word for months after scoring).

Have you already been 'scored' and already eligible for public? My reason for asking is I'm in a similar position... TTC 3yrs in Jan, HSG, laproscopy/hysteroscopy showed mild endo, privately paid for 2 IVF's (via loans as was sooo frustrated by public system) looks like egg quality issue... yet have been told we won't be seen under public until middle of 2016. I'm 39 (40 in April). Hoping that they sort their systems out quickly as it seems mean that some are possibly missing out on an opportunity for being a Mummy just because of a change of system.

Edited by Trying trying! - 02 November 2015 at 9:03pm

Been taking estrogen pills for a week now and was feeling pretty relaxed about it all.Bascially after lastime (ivf injectins etc) I had decied to just take the pills and try to pretend nothing was happening. I have been keeping a normal routine and this has worked heaps, and just poping a pill is easier than the injecions(though i shouldnt complain about that, it was bad) until yesterday where I all of a sudden like a tidal wave have been hit with emotion. I feel anxious and a little teary!! This is big for me as i am not a PMT girl, yeah i know its the pills and am taking it in my stride. Just wondering if anyone else ended up feeling like that? WE have two frozen embies and have decided to only put one in this time. Last time we put two in and I ended up with a blighted ovum so thought let's do something different and fear that if it doesnt work then thats it. All of a sudden I have been hit with fear that this is the wrong thing to do. I am turning forty and just want the best chance of success. It's then used for whatever treatment is appropriate for you - the clinic basically claims off the DHB. You go with the treatment plan they prescribe, though they do listen to you if there is any particular reasons for doing one protocol or the other. Up to two rounds of IVF get funded. Funding includes ICSI if needed, and also the transfer of all embryos created in the cycle (if you end up with any in the freezer).

You can use funding to also do IUI, but it's unlikely they'll recommend that. You get 4 rounds of IUI with one lot of funding (so lose one funded round of IVF).

Be warned - waiting lists for IVF are very long - up to two years depending on what part of the country you are in - so brace yourself for a wait! (Think wait time in Chch is around a year, but things change)

I would definitely pay for an appointment to get yourself scored for funding. We did all our treatment privately to get it done, then waited for the public funding for IVF to kick in before we could do IVF (which we're in the middle of - just waiting till next cycle and I can do my first transfer).

Meanwhile folk like us who are in good jobs that can provide a stable, secure place for a child get limited funding.
Any who thanks for the tip, how does funding work? Do you get a set amount and just choose how you use it? Or do you have to go with whatever scheme they pick? How many tries do you get? All the articles I've read say that for severe Endo going straight to IVF is the best option so hopefully they don't make me muck around! That is very wrong.

So I'm with Wellington but highly recommend paying for first appt as sped up our journey by about 5mths. Not sure of the waiting list down there but generally it's upwards of 12mths. You're best to get that private appt now and get on the list ASAP. You can still have your lap in the meantime. Have they recommended clomid and iui already? Personally had iui x4 and nothing close to it working so I'd save your public funding for ivf. However others have had iui success so who knows?!!.
All the best with wherever the journey takes you :)

Can anyone give me an idea of our likely hood of public funding for IVF in Chch and anything that will speed up the process eg pay for the first appointment ourselves? Our story: me 26, DH 29, have just had my 4th Endo op and surgeon has said it was the most severe he has seen. Hubby has low testosterone, going to get semen analysis soon but suspect will have low sperm count because of it. Going to see the doctor for follow up operation consult on Thursday and he's going to arrange blood tests then, although I have to have another lap in 3 months so can't start trying until after then anyway. Just wondering what I can do to improve my chances, if I'm going to get IVF I may aswell start Zolodex while I'm waiting to preserve what's left of my fertility. As an aside I had a restorative justice meeting with a man who assaulted and robbed our pharmacy recently, and whilst there they were pleased to tell me that him and his partner had conceived a child via publicly funded IVF WHILE HE WAS IN JAIL. What is wrong with our system!!! How can some women get refused treatment but a career criminal serving eight years in jail is allowed funding!!!!

Thanks for your message :)
Yes - we will just be on the three year point of trying that pushes us into getting 'accepted' on public funding as at 1 Jan 2016.
I had a lap/hyst in Feb that showed some endo which gave us a few extra points towards the acceptance too.
Thanks for the encouraging words...
If I knew it was worth it we would probably try for bank loan to pay off over a few years to get another private IVF cycle before January rolls around and my egg store is '4 months older'... but there are no clear cut answers as we all know!!
Hope your journey is going ok Dolly.

It is your age at referral rather than your age at treatment that qualifies you for public funding - ie if you qualify in January then you'll be on the list regardless of turning 40 in April. I can't tell you how the changeover will affect the wait time though.

Wondering if anyone knows what will happen at Otago Fertility Services this summer (since FA taking over)?
I am 39yrs 7mnths - trying to conceive 2yrs 8mnths. We qualify for private in Jan '16 and by then it'll be FA in Dunedin running the show. But since I turn 40 in April they've said that's the cut off point for funded ivf. :/ have paid for one private round late last year unsuccessful two transfers and can't afford to pay for another . Have this fear that I'll get to next year and they won't see me by the time I'm 40 therefore it's time wasted, and my chance to have a baby will be gone. Maybe therell be a miracle and it'll all happen naturally and easily (haha yeah right as if!!)
Thoughts? Experiences?

I generally offer them my left arm first cos my easy vein is in my right arm and I don't want them using it all the time and ruining it. I had been known at one lab, but then started going to another, now I'll probably start going back to the first one. Think hey get to know us FA clients quickly.
