Just a word of encouragement: you're doing all the right things!
And good on you for persevering to get a professional opinion. But don't stress too much in the meantime. My little girl didn't crawl for a LONG time (was almost a year old) and she hated tummy time too. They all seem to have totally different motivations. And I found with my DD that she wouldn't do something for a long time (like learning to crawl), then within a few days she's doing it like a pro!

Where do you live can you see a physiotherapist privately? Yes he kicks lots when he's on his tummy but he can't stand like normal babies do at this stage that's the main issue. Sounds like things are happening slowly, now he is started rolling both ways. I wouldn't be too concerned about legs. Is he kicking lots on his tummy? Just try to give lots of tummy time reaching out for things at different heights. Normally babies roll and then once thats mastered start creeping. But this is more using arms then legs. Them getting abit frustrated is normal. He's a lot better on his tummy now, goes on it a couple of times a day and once he's had enough he will roll over to his back, he's also starting to roll from back to tummy which is something he wasn't doing often! How is he getting on with tummy time? Are you able to give him tummy time more than twice per day?

Hi everyone

My sons just turned 1 and he's not mobile at all. He has great upper body strength and he's just starting to pull himself with his arms but can't pull up far, my main problem is his legs are just like deadweight to him. If he's sitting down he uses his legs and feet to push things away but if you try to stand him up on his legs he sticks his bum out or will hold pressure on his feet for only a couple of seconds then fall down. We are in the hospital waiting system to see a physiotherapist but we are months away from our appointment so I'm just wondering if anyone's been through this and can offer some advice or techniques I can try to help him? He also isn't crawling yet, hates tummy time but gets it a couple of times every day!
