Theres a really handy FAQ section on the site which has all the acronyms, how to set up tickers etc which I find really helpful in learning the lingo. Theres also a thread called 'Inbetweeners' for all us over 30's if you wanted to join in there too :)

Since you're over 35 after 6 months of TTC I think you can ask for help and be refered to specialists - other ladies here will have more info on that.

In the meantime you could just BD (baby dance/have sex) around your estimated ovulation, which would be about cycle day 14 to 18 I think? Or you could try charting with Fertility Friend (an app), take your temperature each day to get a more accurate time frame for conception.

I'm not sure how cruisy or serious business like you want to start off, I wish you all the best though, and really hope you can add to your family!

Edited by Nellennium - 20 July 2013 at 9:28pm

We (new husband and I) couldn't decide if we wanted a child of our own or not but have decided to go for it! He is a fantastic stepdad but I would love the chance for him to have a child of his own. Trouble is I am 38 and have PCOS so not sure of our chances. I have a period every month (usually 29-31 days) and *think* im ovulating but don't really know LOL. I should add..despite having PCOS, my son was unplanned and so this TTC business is completely new and alien to me! We have been trying since our wedding nite haha (3 months ago) and the Dr has given me a script for iodine and folic acid so what else do I need to know :-)

Thanks
