If it's late afternoon, probably cluster feeding. I used to sit on the couch with a feeding baby right though dinner and early evening. Luckily I had an understanding and helpful DH!
I'd say, just go with it. My daughter is 7 weeks old, she sleeps well for the most part, but a lot of the time (at least once a day) she has trouble going down to sleep. She has a massive feed, and gets very yawny and falls asleep while feeding and spills a little bit so I know she's had a lot (!) but when I put her in her bassinet she wakes up again after 10 minutes and screams until she gets another feed, and we repeat the cycle again until she's finally had enough to eat and falls happily asleep.
