I think it's pretty normal baby behaviour . Opinions seem to range from 'you'll ruin the child, they'll never talk properly, besides, you wouldn't talk to an adult like that would you ?!?!?!' to 'science has proven that lilting tones and repetitive sentences helps them grasp the language and learn to use it themselves'.

I'm in the 'if it comes so naturally I doubt it can be a bad thing' camp, and I baby talk to my little squishy

Has anyone else noticed if they use a babyish voice when with their baby?

I've found I respond to people's questions (if directed at my son) with a babyish voice and I sometimes make my own observations with a babyish voice.
