oh and sorry what age - she would ride in it to about 14 mths, but wouldn't sleep in it for a while before that. we haven't used our buggy for ages. She apparently is happy enough to use one when she's with her homecarer, but when out with us, she tends to walk or ride her bike or we carry her the odd distance if there's traffic or whatever.
I agree with the others though that say you don't know till you get there - but either way, I reckon you'd be safe getting rid of the single buggy and if you decide later you need one, buy one you do like on trademe. There are so many 2nd hand ones around, it can't be too difficult to find one surely. And if you decide then that you want a double, you could do that too.

I intended on buying a doubles pram when I got pregnant with DD2 but she went off the pram at about 18 months so I didnt bother.
I hated my old pram though so the thought was always in the back of my mind to upgrade at some stage.
Then as soon as DD2 came along, she thought riding along in it looked like fun again so I went ahead and got a double pram - best investment ever! She loves the pram again, cant see her giving it up anytime soon which is fine by me.

I think every child is different, your DD might be well and truely over the pram by the time #2 comes along, she might also still want to ride in it - could you look at a new pram that is able to be adjusted to a doubles set up without getting the doubles attachment straight away? Might give you the flexability if she still wants to use it when the time comes

DS is still in it and I would like a double one! My DS1 is a bit younger (19 months when DS2 arrived) and we held off on the double pram because I thought I'd put baby in a carrier (I have a moby wrap and a mei tai) and have DS2 in the pram still.

Anyway, baby doesn't like being worn much so that one went out the window and we bought a double pram. DD was happy to go in the pram until she was just over 3, but DS is 2 y 2m and 95% of the time refuses to go in the pram.

When DS was little he was in the moby/manduca and DD in the pram.

I would just go with another single.

I would tink every child is different but our little man who is very active has been over his pram since about 2.

I,m due with no 2 in Oct and am thinking bout having bub in a sling.

What age did you kidlets grow out of being in a pram?

Reason being I severely dislike my stroller and I'd quite like to sell it and get a new one. The type I would prefer is a single one, we're not having another child for at least another year (not anywhere near UTD!), our DD is 2 in September, so she would be nearly 3 by the time another one arrives.

I had thought if she was still keen on being in the pram I could put baby in a frontpack/wrap.
