My chemist said there is no down side to treating for worms if the child doesn't have them. So you could give that a go first?

I don't know if 3 weeks would be too long, I usually notice that my girls feet get really big, she eats a lot & then about a month later all her clothes are too short! Also seems to coincide with school holidays when she eats like a horse & sleeps more. Possibly low in iron. I suffer form low levels, as does my Mum, so there could be something in it. Though, like you say, she eats really well so I doubt it. (And as DH kindly pointed out when I said I also ate well but was still deficient "You're old, she's a kid )

And the teachers aren't aware of anything that's upset her at kindy. And she talks to me happily about kindy, whereas in the past she's told me if there's anything upsetting her.

So, I think we'll go with it being a growth spurt for now, like Kel suggested and as per my original post).
I just wonder if 3 weeks is too long?

Kids really should come with instruction manuals!

I'm pondering the attention seeking aspect, too

Highly doubt Coeliac Disease, or gluten/wheat intolerance given the suddeness of this and that she's been eating wheat/gluten for over 3 years without issue.

I know a friend who had a girl who was 'tired' all the time and in the end after lots of visits to the doctor they found out she had Celiac disease and a change in her diet helped amazingly...

But as you said it could just be normal, or could it be a little attention seeking???

Probably not the right place to put this, but I'm after as much advice as possible.

My usually very active 4 year old is lacking her spark.
I've just given her a week off kindy, since they don't shut down for the school hols, after a week of complaining of being tired. She has spent this last week complaining of being tired, too.

She's hungry ALL the time - and eats like a pig! Keep having to make extra trips to the supermarket to keep up!
She's sleeping a good 11 hours at night, so I know she's getting plenty of sleep.

I've considered that it could be worms, but she's not showing any other symptoms.
I've also considered it to be a growth spurt, but is almost 3 weeks too long for that?

She eats a very good, balanced diet.
Personality wise she's the same as always.
But she turns down trips to the park and prefers to stay home when she used to want to go out with Daddy for weekend errands.

Of course, this could also be completely normal behaviour

She's well overdue for her 4 year old imms, so I'll get some advice from the doc when I take her next week, anyway.
But I just thought some first hand experience would be helpful, too
