I've had 2 c-sect. 1st one I didn't use anything but they kept the dressings on for way longer than the 2nd section. The latest c-sect I used a pad for the first few days to absorb stuff and then nothing.

Nope, cant say i ever needed anything like that. I am having a C section next month, and I have seen that you can buy 'C' pants online which have a gel pad built in to help with the healing of your scar. Has anyone used these?
