Yeah I think I was meant to stop around 36wks. But all my babies came early and I was still taking aspirin when I went into labour with all 3. I did lose more blood than normal with #2 (c sect) but for the other two vaginal births, I had normal blood loss. Hi. I stopped Asprin at 34 weeks as directed by fertility specialist (usual advice I gather). I was on 100mg tabs. My obstetrician said that if I continued it would increase bleeding in labour. The other one I considered and stopped @ 38 wks (turned out to be 1 week before birth) was Omega 3 supplement as they can also increase bleeding. Hi ladies,

Just wondered when those of you on aspirin, for any reason, stopped taking it?

I'm over 36 weeks now and have weened down to a quarter of a tablet a day, but am somewhat apprehensive about stopping completely.

My MW said I can just keep taking it but just wondering what others did ? Am I likely to do my baby any harm with regards to blood clotting if I'm still taking a quarter a day ?
