But around an hour and a half awake time at that age is about right. As someone else said, watch out for those tired signs too, as each day can be different - depending on how baby's slept at night.
Good luck!

Had to move him from boob to bottle because it was so bad. He is on a 2mth old size teat as the NB size was just too slow for him. This also improved his wind & spilling hugely, as i think he was taking on too much air with the slower teats.

In regards to the wake/sleep, throw the book out of the window! Every baby is different, my first barely woke up at all except for feeds for the first 12-16 wks. My second is awake all day nearly, and does a fantastic 8 hour stretch at nights. I put my first onto Tizzie Halls routines after she was one, but I think when they are so little, as long as they are happy, who cares how much they are awake during the day - so long as they aren't awake at night!
Author: deehunter
Subject: 41171
Posted: 14 December 2011 at 9:48am

Hi there,
I have a big 10 week old girl who has always been bottle fed. She is on the same formula from birth, and suddenly she is not that interested in eating. She will take the bottle but after about 60-80 mls that is it. My question is should i change her on to the next atage teat...which i have done previously however it causes her to have bad wind and she spills quite bad...So my dilemma is do I change it so she eats more but spills more and is uncomfy? or do I fight the battle of her refusing?

Secondly how long do you think a 10 week old should be awake? Tizzie Hall says 2 hours, but the other people say about 1 hour?..HELP PLEASE
