I figure it is just him trying to work out a way to get to sleep without the noise.
The white noise is still on just very quiet, but as soon as he's getting to sleep quickly i'm going to keep it off.
I actually think it's lovely he's figuring it all out so peacefully, much better than bedtime tantrums!

He's knackered after daycare and is really happy to go to bed - there aren't any tears and he just chats/sings/plays so I ignore him and leave him to it! I figure it's just his way of winding down, but it would be nice if he just dropped off to sleep immediately like when he was a bit younger.

He would get up, run around, open cupboards, play and chat to himself. At first we would go in and he would run and jump up on his bed when we opened the door and laugh thinking it was a fun game. Our solution? Let him play/sing/chat if he wanted to. He could climb in and out easily and so long as he wasnt upset we just left him to it, he would eventually hop into bed and go to sleep.. It took a couple of nights for the novelty to wear off and now he just goes to sleep after chatting to himself for about 15 mins.

Are you able to just leave her to it and only go in if she gets upset. At the moment she knows you are coming in and she probably likes to see you

Edited due to my annoying auto correct!!

Edited by MrsEmma

Up until September I could put her in her cot with her Rabbit, she would suck her thumb and go to sleep. We went away for two weeks and had to share a double bed and she would only go to sleep with me lying next to her. Fast forward us moving house and getting settled in.

Now when I put her in bed she will play for at least an hour, just happily rolling around and singing away to herself. I go about every 5/10mins to tuck her back in or if she gets upset (hardly).

I would really love for her to go back to going to sleep easily so I can organise to go out one night. I have a good bedtime routine and she is tired when I put her in bed, she just gets up and plays. Any ideas?
