Yep I rinse in the laundry tub and put wet into the bucket too. rubber gloves are your friend for rinsing pooh! thats all i ever did, rinse and dry pail. if you are worried about smells you can put a few drops of ti tree oil in the bottom of the bucket. I just put em in the wash still - she's not eating a whole lot of solids so it's still bf poo. When DS was that age, i'd quite often just put it in the wash straight away, with whatever other nappies were there. Small wash but dealt with the issue straight away. We don't have a laundry tub so this was tricky for me. The Nappy Lady helped by suggesting to hold the nappy close to the back of the toilet by where the water comes out and flush. Simple option I really dont cope well with hand washing /scrubbing etc
Flushable liners brand Imse vense or something like that I cant spell.
rinse cycle if really bad in machine
then full normal cycle.

As far as I know fully breastfed poo is completely water soluble so you can just throw it straight into the machine - do a rinse cycle first, then wash.

Cool thanks for that ladies :) I think I will try the rinse and leave idea.. I also rinse them in the laundry sink (and occasionally scrape with a woden spoon haha)

I tried liners but it seemed to defeat the purpose of the fleecey making them dry as they got wet and stuck to DD's bum and she didnt like it lol (fair enough)

I tip as much in the toilet as I can and then rinse in the laundry sink. I have an old dishbrush in there if a bit extra help is needed to get the left-overs off. DS is the same T-Rex

I scrape it into the toilet using toilet paper. Then I do a rinse cycle before I wash. It always seems to work well for us

ETA - I also wash every 2nd-3rd day and the nappies sit in a bucket until I do, anything that doesn't come out of the machine spotless soon ends up clean again with some sunlight

DD STILL mostly has poo too soft to tip off. Sigh. Don't think she's ever going to change! I rinse the poo down the laundry sink - get all the chunks of the nappy, but not till it's spotless - then I give it a quick squeeze out and toss it in the bucket till wash time. I always use liners, but lets be honest, when DS was that age and also completely BF the liner didn't always catch it all! For those I tend to do one or more of the following: Dunk and flush, rinse out under running water or use liners. This is where those nappy rinser attachments (that attach to the toilet line) come in very handy, but I usually use the laundry sink as I don't have one! The cold rinse before putting them in the bucket does help them to not stain. I just leave them wet in the bucket after that.
I also only really used liners if mine was being semi predictable. Hello :)

I know there's a whole forum about this but I was wondering about your opinions I've been using Pea Pods with my girl and so far they're working really well was just wondering though, when the instructions say to 'shake the solids' off them.. what do you do about the ones that lets just say.. aren't completly solid?

Do you leave them?
Rinse them then leave them wet?
Soak them?

I'm not too sure about leaving them wet but not sure if soaking them in water would do any good.. leaving them until the next load (normally every second day) can make them extra stinky...

Any ideas that you find are working would be helpful :)

(DD is almost 4 months and completly BF btw)
