I do 3hrs in the morning 3 days a weeks so I'm only missing one feed. Last month I went through a period where I was struggling to pump a full feed when I was due to. I was also only getting 30ml +/- in the mornings. I persevered and pumped what I could after she fed and also started eating and drinking more. I found expressing by hand after the pump meant I could get a few more mls which helped stimulate more milk production down the track. After a couple of weeks I had a healthy supply in the freezer.
It never hurts to have some backup supplies in the freezer. Besides work I am hoping to develop a social life one day and maybe get to go out for dinner with DH

If you want to keep working at it, I was told by a wonderful lactation consultant to do 5 mins each side and do that twice and try not to look at how much is coming out!
