With the depo it can take up to 18months for regular periods to return, and therefore that long for regular ovulation. Basically the depo puts your ovaries in a coma and it can take a while for them to wake up!

iv been having the same problem after my last baby, I had depo when he was 4wks old then 14-15wks later had mirena put in but 12s later it came out and decided it didnt suit us anyway. since then I have been waiting for af to sort its self out I have had af's but they are very random and i have no idea when they will start or what strength they will be. i tried some kind of pill but it made me depressed so finished the months worth and stopped, I started taking it again but after 4 or 5 days remembered why i stopped taking it. the dr then tried to put me on something else but i decided i was over trying to fix it with pills and will just let my body sort its self out. Hi, i came off the pill 3 months ago got my period just afta and then 3 weeks later then nothing since, doctor said dont worry should come right by 6 months after stoping the pill. Afta i had my daughter 21months ago i had 2 depo injections but they messd with my hormones and i turnd in2 a meany so stopd it and had no period for 7 months the doctor put me on the pill to corret that but hasnt helpd, i got preg with alex whn on the pill so used 2 b firtile but now im worried. Any advice?
