Will you be hiring a car over there or would you be traveling with family? Could you purchase a 2nd hand car seat over there to store with family?
Also remember that sns car seats don't allow you to use the top slots for rear facing so your child may outgrow it height before weight.

I asked a friend in Aussie and the real answer would be to buy one in Australia.

I'd love a Radian but can't afford one and we've decided Safe N Sound are the way to go. They can definitely be used in Aussie, so we can buy one here and take it with us.

They only rear face till 12 kg but actually that's most likely to be well over 1 yr of age, so we figure its the way to go!

I take my radian (that I have here) every time I travel to Oz (if you're traveling with a child then it's not considered extra luggage). I know it's technically not legal but personally I know it's safe, it's fast to put in/take out and it means I can take our car to the airport and pop it straight in my parents car at the other end.

Sorry, don't know otherwise.

Edited by thesaff

Apparently it's super super rare to get a ticket, cops only ever look at whether the kid is or isn't in a carseat.

I know I took ours over there when we visited - I did feel a bit bad about the illegal aspect (I don't like doing anything against the law, to be honest, even if I know there's no good reason except a bit of red tape), but thought it was the most sensible option really. That worked fine for us.

Sorry I dont know of any that will work over there. Good luck

Any help would be awesome!
