This sounds the best idea but unfortunately alot of funded research nowadays (with any subject really) is in someway connected and funded by the pharmaceutical companies which in itself becomes a biased view. I am a medical reseracher for a job and I have found google scholar to be ok-ish but to actually get your hands on some good "empirical" evidence i.e. current medical papers that are peer reviewed you are going to need ovid, or a good university (not just a local/council) library.

I would really reccomend not just sticking to pamphlets if you want to make a decision that is fully informed this means finding the sources of the pamphlets!

Often instead of finding individual papers, you could look for literature reviews or other studies by people such as epidemiologists whose job it is to find all the current information and put it into one paper in a (hopefully) non bias way.

This would be my recommendation as well. I find most websites to be very biased and in lots of cases to fail to differentiate between opinion and results from research.

When we were deciding to vax or not, I would have looked at actual research. Hi there, this is a great site that helped me make up my mind, no vax, but as you will find all sites are biased one way or the other and you just have to follow your own instincts Hope this helps.

My oldest was fully vaccinated up to when he was 15 months and then he became a completely different child he was diagnosed with autism at 22 months. He hasn't had the 4 year jabs he is 8 now and probably won't.

DD is not fully vaccinated she got her 1st one at 5 months because I got pressured from Dh due to a breakout of measles then same thing again when she was about about 11 months old. Straight after she came less responsive and wasn't babbling as much as she was before the jab and was like this for a couple of weeks. She is going to be 3 in a few months and we haven't discussed if she will receive anymore.

I just posted in the other thread, but I'm in a similar situation Nic. I haven't got DS in for his 15 month jab and at this stage don't intend to, although he has had the others. DH is bothered either way so no pressure there.

Also if you are not sure, you can delay the 15 months ones. I didn't get Cooper done until around 20 months with one of the 3 vax's he had the other ones done recently about a month apart.

I read the leaflet that came with DD imm card its from the MOH. It explained everything and was enough information for me to decide to get her vaccinated. There is a FB page called vaccine free families, you could post on there as well and they will be able to help you out. Hi everyone,

I don't want a debate and know this is a really touchy subject.

My daughter was due to have her 15 month imms on the 20th but this date has now come and gone.
I've always felt that I haven't known enough about getting them done and getting them not done, etc.
She's had her 6 week imms, 3 month and 5 month imms so far.

Because I feel like I don't know enough I have felt rather pressured by family, friends and my partner to get DD immunised (as well as health professionals too) but I've always wanted to know more yet no one can point me in the right direction to get more info! They just keep saying it's the 'right' thing to do or the right thing in general.

Basically I was just wanting to know WHERE people got their information from for/against immunising to help them make the decision on if they should get them done or not?? Can anyone recommend any really good sites?

Also wanting to know if anyone has started and then stopped and if so for what reasons?
