Thanks for all the encouragement girls. I went to the doctor today and yes it was positive, verrrrrry faintly, but that seemed to be enough to satisfy the doctor. Am so thrilled. I also thought AF had arrived on time (last week), but after 4 days of very light bleeding decided to do a HPT. I did 4 tests and got very faint lines (DH said he thought he saw one but blinked and it disappeared ). I waited a few more days did another HPT and got a much clearer BFP.

I'd maybe test in another day or 2. I had the exact same thing (just last week!) Got spotting on day af was due, spotting again 2 days later, negative hpt day after af due and again day after that then positive test 2 days later.

Good luck, if your af is usually really regular then sounds promising. Hi again, I still haven't had any more spotting or signs of a normal period. Did another test though and it was negative again (thought I could see the faintest of the faintest of a positive line but think it was a trick of the eye! My partner couldn't see it!). Hi there....any sign of AF yet? It could be implantation particularly as brown blood is old blood. FX for you.

Having said that, my last AF started with brown spotting too. Hi gals, I just wanted to get some advice. My partner and I are ttc, no charting etc yet, trying to keep it low key for first wee while. Anyway, my period was due yesterday. I got some brown spotting and just assumed my period had arrived (sadly as had been "imagining" i was feeling odd preg-like twinges in my lower abdomen). Anyway, that was 24 hours ago and no period/spotting since. I've heard of implantation bleeding but implantation would have been ages back, wouldn't it (esp with my regular 31 day cycle). Any ideas what this could be?? I don't have any clear preg symptoms and i did a first response hpt yesterday -negative.
