Oh Shadowfeet!! I didn't realise you were still dealing with this too! DD spills after most milk feeds still too (at 14 months). It is starting to attract a lot of negative attention from well-meaning people. Yes I've spoken to the doctor, she's fine. Back off!!

When it was all the time, lots and lots of bibs, and using a cloth flat in the cot under her head. Also having a supply of cloth flats at all the likely spots around the house so you can grab them quickly. Zoe is a really spilly baby and doesn't have acid reflux.  She is what they call a "happy chucker" 

Found not much we could do except her wearing bibs all the time and have a cloth at the ready to wipe up the spills.  And yeah she dribbled constantly.  We had her on thickend formula which helped while she was little but once we started solids just changed to normal formula. 

the carpet takes a hammering but I've stopped stressing about it now.  She is much better now at 7 mths but still spills heaps.  The dribble has subsided somewhat so bibs aren't daily attire anymore but she has dribbled heaps during teething.

ETA:  the spilling at night stopped at about 4 mths which was good.  I just used flat nappies too instead of having to change the sheets all the time

Wore her first bib today and it did help, mostly having something close at hand to wipe up the spills.
Not much I can do when she's sleeping though she sleeps on an old flat nappy and I change that regularly.

She's happy enough and no she doesn't have reflux. I had a spilly baby too. He was even sick the night he was born lol but that was mucous. Anywho, he used to spill EVERY SINGLE FEED at least once. It was horrible. He wore bibs every moment he was awake. Mum2mum bibs were great. SillyBillyz do a good one too coz it sits so close around the neck.
Anyway one day when he was about 7.5months I thought to myself, "hey, DS hasn't spewed in awhile" and he hasn't since. Well, the odd one where he's been a guzzle guts but nothing like before. And he WASN'T a reflux baby.

It will get better, but just like every baby is different - every baby's spilling is too.

I have a very spilly baby, always spills a few times after a feed and on me, on the floor etc. I only change him if it's a big one but I still have loads of washing lol bibs for sure but I find just trying to pre-empt it helps, and keeping him up right for half an hour after a feed to try and keep it down. But I think it's just one of those hazards of having a baby. Usually around 6 months old they get better, I guess it coincides with sitting up.

I agree on bibs, we used them as Cooper dribbled a ton.

Dribbling does seem to go along with reflux I've noticed. Sorry, Zac is 10.5 months old and still spills several times each day He eats loads of solids and has done since 4.5 months. Harry was about 5-6 months I think when his stopped though

Bibs - Mum2Mum. Worth the price. permanent bibs here and the polar fleece top ones with plastic underneath are great - NO wet clothes!

We used bibs from birth, but that was just because every time I fed her (BF) my letdown was so forceful she'd pull off and get drenched rofl! DS2 is very spilly as well. TBH the amount of washing and cleaning up I do sometimes gets me down! He has got a bit better recently (he started solids at 6 months). 2 different doctors told me that it should stop by the time he is 1 (!!!). That is when the valve at the top of their tummies should be working right.

DD was very spilly, I think it had a definite improvement around 5-6mths, basically after she started solids.

The dribble may have to do with teeth if shes usually spilly but not dribbly. DD stopped when she was on solids too.

We used heaps of muslin cloths and I could usually predict when she was going to spill, so was well prepared with a cloth.

Mum2mum do great dribble bibs....I would highly recommend investing in a few. My DD didn't stop spilling so much till she was established on solids!
