I was eating very healthy and exercising and wasn't seeing any results. I do breastfeed though, so before finding out my thyroid was under-active, I was wondering why I wasn't losing weight and was in fact gaining weight. So if your wife is still having the same issue with losing the last few kgs, maybe suggest to her getting her thyroid function checked

I wondered if she was eating enough.. cause if shes not her body will just go into starvation mode. I'm loosing my post baby weight and not BF anymore and I'm eating quite a lot. Its just good food.

And totally agree on the resistance work. Need that to tone up.

I think the worst thing for her is that she just isn't seeing any real improvement for all the work she's doing.

It'd be easier for her I think if she was getting somewhere even if it's not happening as fast as it normally would - I'm sure you can understand how it would be frustrating to work at something so hard and not see anything as a result.

so, up the protien and add in some weights work.

would you suggest a personal trainer or dietician/nutritionist for the best results?

Edited by firsttimedad

My wife delivered 8 and a bit weeks ago, and has been doing everything yuou really can to lose the wright she put on.

She doesn't have that much at all, but it's enough for her to not fit her clothes and she's been trying so hard to lose the wight but getting no results.

She walks/jogs at least an hour a day and eats very carefully. she's not breastfeeding and her diet really cant be much better.

She's healthy, but finding it really hard to understand why she isn't getting anywhere - she's excercising more and eating the same or less than before she got pregnant but nothing seems to help - are we missing something important here?

I'd like to find someone that can help us make sense of why the weight isn't coming off and what she can do to get results. It's really getting her down.
