Wish I'd found it when my baby was younger. It's like using a wrap or blanket over the baby except it has a straps that you put over your head like an apron. It stops the cover falling off or baby pulling it off. It also lets you maintain eye contact with your baby as it has a rigid neck line which is also good for latching. Means I can wear normal tops and not buy more expensive feeding tops.

Tshirt/top was pulled up so hid the top part of my boob and the singlet covered my tum.

You can always place a blanket over your shoulder and baby to hide things as well but in the early days I found it a pain in the a$$ esp when you have to relatch etc!

Re feeding in public. They are great for nights though.

I also tried a proper BFing top which had a slit/pocket across the front, but found it like sticking my boob through a letter box slot!

TBH the best thing I found were just a bunch of loose-ish tops from glassons & jeanswest, and t-shirts were great too - I find it easy just to unclip my bra through the top reaching down, then to pull my top up a bit with the babys head covering any boobage until she latches, then to drop my top back down a bit. I'm still a bit shy about it, but feed everywhere now - cafes, beaches, on the ferry etc.

The other reason I moved away from proper BF clothing was that most of the stuff wasn't clothing I would normally wear, and as a new mum, I wanted to make myself feel good by dressing in clothes I liked...so now if something I wear doesn't work too easily with feeding, I whip it all out, but just chuck a wrap over so I don't scare people with my big, floppy, veiny boobs!

I can't imagine wearing it without a bra tho. I also bought a BFing top, and it was good in the begining, but now prefer to be able to wear whatever tops I want.
Also, BF tops are really expensive.
I found that in the begining I would BF in the parents rooms if out shopping, or in the car. Once I got more confident with BFing ie getting baby latched 1st time and less full I am now happy to BF in public ie in cafe's etc.
Also, I got my BFing singlets from the Warehouse, they are resonably priced and actually fit me better (16FF) where as some of the 'labelled' brands' didn't work in terms of the hole being in the right place.
