Can you stay with someone temp while you have no sewerage coz I think you are CRAZY frog staying there now...dunno how you are coping!! Well done you.

PS you could still use for bathing, why not bath DD in baby bath and then tip on lawn afterwards? Same with dishes. You could even have sponge baths (tee hee). If you don't have a bath still could see if anyone on here has one you could borrow or get a mini paddling pool????

I heard that if you are without a sewerage system your house should have a yellow sticker. I'm not sure about the state of our water/sewerage etc as we had to move out due to the council slapping a yellow sticker on us because of the damage but I probably wouldn't stay if that was the case. I found it too hard and we don't even have a child.

There is so many people that now dont have homes and with a shortage of rental properties its going to be damn hard to find one!

Do you have a meeting coming up in your area? I know they are having them this week and next week to discuss whats going on and how things are going to be done etc - so might pay to go along to one of those as well.

HUGE hugs the whole thing SUX.

We heard a rumour from someone in the street over from ours that works for a company thats "in the know" that the sewers could be out for up to 2 months!!!! When we were without water for just 6 days my dd ( who is 14months old ) got a gastro bug and has bad diareah and vomitting) it was so difficult with no water for her to bath in , i cant imagine being without water for another 2 months!!! i dont know if i could even handle another week TBH

I was wondering what peoples thoughts on this were ? if you were going to be without water for 2 months would you stay at your home ? we do have one porta-loo in our street ( a small street of aprox 20 houses ) and we do have friends and family in chch that we could take showers at and do washing etc etc but it is just such an inconvinience . we are renting and my landlord is a really lovely guy so i dont want to come across as rude or brash if i want to leave, i dont really know how to go about it if we were to move somewhere , we are in a lease so i dont know weather we would need to keep paying rent here and rent at alternitave accomodation. what are peoples thoguhts on this ? would you stay in a house with no water for this period of time with a 14month old baby ?

Also , i Understand there are people ALOT more worse off than myslef , people without homes etc so i also feel that maybe i shouldnt even be complaining at all and just deal with it .

Edited by julz
