Reheat chicken all the time, with being preggers I havn't eaten chicken cold and I've used up any leftovers the next day.

I always reheat chicken curries etc and roast chicken as well. As others have said as long as it has been in the fridge and you reheat it to piping hot there shouldn't be a problem.

I got food poisoning once from chicken about 10 years ago (campylobacter - I actually prayed for the sweet release of death, lol) - but it was from a rotisserie chicken I had bought at the supermarket and eaten straight away. I use the leftovers for tons of things, sandwiches, quiche, pasta, chicken bake (the standard leftover chook fallback). If we have a roast chicken we use the leftovers in sandwiches or sometimes in a pasta bake (I love creamy mushroom and chicken).

We often cook chicken curries or casseroles for 4 or even 6 and then reheat leftovers the following night. As long as your hygiene is good re preparation and you reheat to piping hot I don't think you can really go wrong

Thanks Nikki, I was thinking to make a pie or quiece (sp??). So I suppose if I reheat it thoroughly it should be fine.

I make a roast one night, then use the left over veges and chicken and gravy in a chicken pie... then make stock from the carcass.

I've never had a problem with bugs from chicken... Do you reheat chicken? I never have, I get this from my Mum who refuses to. Is it valid to be concerned about reheating chicken?

I never buy a full chicken to roast because we don't eat the whole lot but I have been wondering lately about using the leftovers the following night in a stirfry, pasta dish etc
