Most little kids find trikes quite hard to ride - the position of the peddles is quite difficult for them. At our crèche I have noticed that it is just the 3+ kids that are using them.

Lachie has a little trike and a balance bike - he LOVES his balance bike and it still amazes me how fast he can go on it. He loves going down hills. Seems to be really good for his balance and confidence. I was thinking of getting DD a tricycle for her 2nd birthday, but a number of people have told me that balance bikes are better.

Anyone got any opinions on this? Also where is a good place to go to maybe try some out to see if DD likes them?
