I like vege gardening, DH not so much and thinks it looks ugly so all our vege beds are now garden beds....

Going to get a couple of troughs to plant out with a few things though. I did more planting, beans peas, gerkins, eggplant (for someone else cos I don't like them), chillis and a few other things.

I got a thermomertor for the green house and it was 36C in there on Saturday arvo, good growing conditions.

The boys helped by removing weeds for me, and hopefully the fruit trees we planted when we got back to Palmy will start to grow for us.

DP & I both love our gardening. We have a peach tree, feijoa(sp) tree, lemon tree. We did have a plum tree but DP cut it down :( Hopefully we will get lots of peaches this year. We just need BEES

We also have an empty vege garden at the moment because the cat kept digging it up & going toiliet in it.

We are wanting to get a cover for it so no cats can get it. Does anyone have any ideas of what we can use for a cover? We were thinking chicken wire stuff, but i dont really know if that will work, also what did you use to raise it? Oh and our lemon tree is producing nicely and hopefully this year the apple will give us something edible!  Mum's gonna help me plant a mandarin and maybe a peacherine too so we're gonna have a veritable orchard lol

Do you all wanna come over to a vegetarian BBQ?!

Oooohh good for you MummyBecks!

My new raised vege garden has done so well over winter....kept us in organic silverbeet and spinach all season, plus given us loads of cabbages (none of which I've actually eaten yet, have given away hehe), got some celery thats nearly ready as well as broad beans. Lettuces cam and went early. The cauli was AMAZING, only got 2 but boy gosh they were the best I"ve had if I do say so myself hehe)  Still have plenty of pak choy and cabbage to get through too. Will plant tomatoes soon, am sure they'll do so well in that spot. And I have lettuce seedlings coming up ready to transplant. Oh and I've planted some strawberries too. Hmmmm think that's it.

I'm not much of a gardener lol but am trying to experiment.

Still have my wildflower seeds to sow in our little meadow out the front, as well as trying to pretty up the place a bit with a few more patches of flowers.

The Christmas Plum has started to flower but we didn't get a chance to prune it so we'll be rewarded with MASSES of gorgeous plums.....all up about 15 feet off the ground grrrr lol. I'll get the rake out again tho and shake them down. Oh and send my stepdaughter up there to pick some too

I miss being in the garden but ms took hold when I should have been preparing the garden for winter and its all over run with weeds now!

Not sure I could get out there for long now but give it a go on a sunny weekend and see if I can get it tidied up and plant some seeds....

Any gardeners are welcome to come and sort out mine. I have flower gardens that desperately need attention, I'm tempted to get a spade and start again from scratch with the weediest one.

Ive got a small vege garden that is pretty overgrown at the moment! I need to get rid of the winter vege that is well and truly over, and replant.

Out tomatoes didnt do well at all last year, so Im not sure if we will try again. I love gardening too, although sadly I didn't have one last year as we weren't here and I actually hadn't really thought about it this year. ... anyone else like me and love the garden???

I ahve a huge vege garden at my house (even bigger than the last one for those who have seen it), and I got a green house a while ago. I ahve tomatoes in pots all ready to go outside later once it is warmer. Cucumber and Zuchinni ready to go into the ground. Garlic is doing well (so people tell me first time growing it), Corn have just come through in trays. Peas just need to be planted out now. Beans are sowed. Chillis are in a pot in the greenhouse.

I have random other things in the green house as well.

My winter garden is also doing well. We have cabbage and Cauli that we ate tonight, Beetroot nearly ready and lettuce to eat too.
