Thanks for that AandC, the bruising faded after a couple of days along with the temp etc. so I figured it was some weird short illness. Allergic shiners are not usually redish. They are more blackish, like some ones really tired. conjunctivitis ??

I'd just watch for any changes tomorrow and get a medical check if you're still worried then. DD (18 months) has all of a sudden come out with red bruises under her eyes, one of them is worse than the other.

Yesterday she got a sudden onset fever accompanied by the chills (she was shivering). She has a low grade temp today and is a bit grouchy. I'm more worried about the bruising as it is something we have never dealt with before.
