I used to do mine for two minutes, but depends on the size. 3 - 5 minutes makes our long one nice and hot. Burns a bit to start with but gee it helps... I had to use it on my poor sore nipples in early PG. It really depends on the microwave, our old one I had to put it in for 2.5mins but the new one is more like 1.5min. I can't remember for sure, but maybe about a minute? Probably depends on the size.
