On Thursday DH put oven cleaner on the electric wok to get the burnt on food off. DH is not handy. He's in IT so general construction etc is just beyond his scope. We got a tv cabinet from ikea. He put it together and proudly displayed it to me. He had put the shelves upside down and thought different wood colour was a feature. Umm unfinished gib is not a feature. I waited til he was back at work disassembled it and made it right.

ETA gib is not the right word but that wood that is used in warehouse flat pack shelves etc. Compressed wood chips type stuff.

Amme my DH is the same with non-stick. He mixes food in the pan with a metal spoon

Poor DH was "banned" from using our expensive white towels (wedding gifts) because he would somehow leave brown stains or blood on them (I don't want to know what the brown stains were - maybe he has a dirty face???)

My MIL used my best teatowel - given to us for an engagement present as part of a set - to wipe up beetroot off the floor.

Both MIL and DH have a habit of destroying clothes and anything that goes through the wash. I must've left my bikini there once. It went from being a deep green colour to being a khaki brown. DH washes his jumpers on high with every other piece of clothing then bangs them in the drier. And then declares he "thinks he's getting too fat" when they are tight on him!

They were both banned from doing any kind of washing "to help" while I was in hospital having DS or afterwards

i told DP i wanted to get a foster child next year.
he said "umm ok but we might need to get two, so they can keep each other company"
i thought to myself - now i now why i love you.

then 2min later he comes out with "plus then with finaly, charlie, daves unborn boy - and our two we really would be on our way to having a soccer team"

DH moved the toilet roll holder in the bathroom, and needed to fill in the hole the previous location had left in the gib..... I came home to find my lovely (expensive, specially bought as a 'treat') spatula being used as a plaster/gap-filler mixing and trowelling instrument. Needless to say I was rather unimpressed. DP did a load of washing cos I wasnt feeling up to snuff the other day... only he stuck my nice light floaty tops that need a gentle cycle, DD's velour tracksuit that also needs gentle cycle, in with our jeans that need a good strong wash... Patches of velour rubbed off DDs cute little tracksuit shes worn ONCE, and my tops came out wrapped wierdly around the jeans, and stretched to buggery

Oh and then there was the time he used one of my matching towels to wipe exit mould off the wall... he forgot that one of its components is BLEACH, and it WAS a nice solid blue towel... not after that it wasnt!
