yep check the weight. i was looking recently as we walk everywhere we can and lots of the toddler seats only went to 16kgs. we ended up getting a cheap double mb off tme and i use that one for walking with boys. the single lives in the car.

depends how much you walk, those umbrella things are only good for malls etc, too hard to push.

I looked at getting one of these, but it did not go up to the weight I wanted (think it was18-20kg ish)
I read some reviews on them & was not overly impressed. I don't like the wheels as they are not really distance walking more for malls. If you are looking at buying this one I would view first & check out the wheels to make sure they don't have to much chipping on them as that will effect it.

I think if you are going to spend around $200 then look at getting an older model of a really good brand & it will be sellable if you want to upgrade or don't need later & better made.

how about a mother's choice one, we got our double one at Farmers, they are a good price. You could even ring IGC to see if they have any that they want to clear from their warehouse. I went in there the other week and they have a lot of items, I wonder if they would sell direct?

Which pram is that Alex?? I have a steelcraft Strider with a toddler seat and its really light and folds up quite small(with the toddler seat attached). Its 4 wheels and its moves round really really well.

I could lift this pram fairly well not long after my C Section too, plus I have a bung back.

(ETA) I have a teeny car aswell, and the pram fits in the back along with groceries etc well)

At the moment I dont walk anywhere except round the shops/mall :P I'm planning on doing more once I get a more manouverable pram! Budget is under $200 so i'm looking at 2nd hand.

Not sure what your budget is, but I am a huge fan of baby jogger as well. We have the single with a toddler seat, and I've played around with the city mini double - incredibly lightweight and easy to fold and push (and I am 5"9). They retail for around $600 new though, not sure if there are some second hand ones floating about. Otherwise I have seen some MB doubles on TradeMe for a couple of hundred in pretty good condition (I am assuming you are wanting a double?). Also, how much walking do you do? I got a baby jogger pram off TM and i love it.  It's really light and not too wide.  goes through normal doorways easy.  Also got the one hand fold up which is a strap you just pull up and it tucks nicely away.  I'm not the strongest person either and I can do it real easy.

Also as you know I'm not the tallest so I find it just slightly too high in the handle bar even when adjusted down for shorties like me.  Ours is a 2007 model I think maybe 2008

Investing in a good one is always a good idea - I just dont have the money to invest in a good one. Lily hates being in a sling so we dont do that. I cant lift the pram we have now, so i NEED to get a new one.
I have an umbrella stroller, but being 6 foot tall, it's incredibly painful to push around all day! I wish they all came with extendable handles LOL.

If you are going to use a pram heaps then invest the money in getting on that is going to last & fits all your needs.

DS2 & 3 are close in age so I upgraded to a P&T as I used it like a car & walked everywhere, school, shops, play groups 5x a week rain or shine so it was worth every cent. I have a mountain buggy now that I use for DS3 when we go on long walks.

When DS2 no longer needed a pram I looked at getting a smaller one but needed one that could be used up to 4+yrs. The only one I found was a MB as it took up to 35kgs where other ones only go up to about 20+ something kgs.

I suggest doing a google search & reading the reviews as they put me off several prams.

If you are not going to be using it often then use a sling or back pac & put the other one into a umbrella stroller, you can get really good ones that can lie back & you can get clip to join 2 together.

I have a steelcraft 3 wheeler with toddler seat now which I bought so Thomas could use the seat - discovered that it's too small for a 2yr old GRRR and it's so bloody heavy I have problems lifting it in and out of the car. Oh and it's MASSIVE.

So, I've been looking at the O-Baby (lol) brand of pram and they look really neat - there's one on trademe in chch that I could go for, but convincing the husband is another story (it's $150, so cheap!)
What my actual question is - whats some other 3 wheelers OTHER than phil and teds cuz theres no blimmin way I can afford one of those, which are light, compact and good?
