If it is his teeth he'll chomp down on your finger until he feels a bit better, which I find really cute to watch. Less cute is the dribble, keep a cloth handy to wipe your hand afterwards :P<br /><br />Caleb was about that age when his teeth started to shift around, none have cut yet though so you should be safe to stick your fingers in there for a while <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">]]>

I give bonjela (but it's not to be used before 4 months.) <br /><br />We have teething rings but like you, they're too big! <br /><br />I have started to give teething rusks, I know they are 6 months, but she is 6 months in just over a week and knows what to do with them, etc. <br /><br />We have a mesh feeder but as we haven't started solids I haven't used it yet though if it gets quite bad I may put some ice in. ]]>

And only give Pamol during the day if really upset.<br /><br />If you get a Nuby chewer or similar brand and pop a piece of apple in it (you could put the apple in the fridge) they like to chew on something hard and sometimes it helps them to push the tooth through the gum.  Also if your baby is having solids and you freeze food in icecube containers, grab one of the cubes and put it in the Nuby chewer thingee and they can suck on that - so soothing for their gums.  If you don't freeze food then using cooled boiled water in an icecube tray to freeze would be fine.]]>
