I'd agree with the boredom thing. My wee girl is a social butterfly. It's worth getting his ears and throat checked. Cooper was like this the other week after his first two teeth popped up and was still sleeping badly and he had a little bit of a sore throat. Pamol seemed to fix whatever it was almost instantly so either it was the throat or the teeth were still sore. Now a couple of weeks later I can see one of his fangs looks ready to pop through plus the top two beside it probably aren't too far behind.

Same as what KatzWtgn said, I remember one day he was being grizzly so we went for a stroll to the park and he sat checking out the scenery for ages and was happy as anything, so most likely bored. the sleep store has a good article on separation anxiety.

he could have more teeth coming through, if pamol fixes the grizzles then it could be teeth or might pay to get his ears checked.

As far as i know separation anxiety is usually 7-9mths but who ever has a textbook baby?

I second Katz, if you have a sling use it. Ds is just 7 months and is exactly the same, he'll grizzle if he's not on/near me.

I'm pretty sure its around now they start with the seperation anxiety.

Just a thought, could it be he grizzles when you're around because he wants to be close to you? I've recently started babywearing DS in a sling during the day as I do things and he loves it.

Another possibility: sometimes, if we've been home for a few days in a row without going out, DS grizzles and I think it's because he gets bored. ....on and off all day long.

He has a bit of eczema on his face (going to the Dr tomorrow) but that doesn't really seem to be bothering him. He is getting his two bottom front teeth but they have already broken through the gum so wouldn't imagine that is bugging him too much. He is sleeping well. Have started him on solids a few weeks back, and am now doing BLW as he wasn't interested in puree. That is about the only time he is quiet - eating!

Could it be the food irritating his tummy? But he was grizzling this morning after feeding, and hasn't had solids since 3pm yesterday? Or hunger? Or something else I haven't thought of? According to my hubby he does it less when I'm not there so it is because of me?

I feel like I am a bad mum cause he is so unhappy and I can't figure out why
