Teething should be fine, although if they're really unsettled and miserable with it, then it's probably fairer to the child to be at home (and to the carer if they are needing to give ++ attention)

We're in home based care. Generally if it's a clear runny nose, it's fine. Green is not so good. If it's a cough at the tailend of the cold (like now), then it's OK but if it's a yucky cold coming on, he stays home.

We've found a HUGE difference this year - Dan's first "sick day" was on Monday. They had 2 kids whose mum kept sending them when they weren't well and last year we had to have so much time off. I run a childcare centre (well did until i started my mat leave!!) You can take him if he's teething, unless its giving him a fever. Just wondering if you child is sick how sick are they before keeping them home?

Daycare has just put a notice out of what they expect, as there has been children being dropped off pretty sick and giving it all to the others DS included. But in the notice it says if Pamol is needed for any reason, you child is not well enough to be at daycare...
