We have the American sized one, and the downside is that not all linen fits easily. Lots of sheets that we were given dont actually fit the mattress (its too deep).  The good thing is that we have a cot that turns into a bed, and O now sleeps in it like a bed (like this) and the American sizing just means that he will last a bit longer in it!
