After surgery, the wee girl refused to eat anything with but spagetti on toast. The doctors advised her Mum to give her that as even with a sick child something was better than nothing. She grew out of this and is now a thriving teenager. Still likes spagetti though.

But he's happy enough playing around with his finger foods - although I'm not totally sure how much of those he actually eats!

We just go with it. He's gotten much better since I did food before bottle. And I've found giving him finger food to play with helps distract him and I can get the odd spoonful in.

Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be!

She would only eat cheese or chew vegemite toast, wen ton for months. I just kept BF as much as she wanted and she was fine.
Like Jano said eating at this age is more about tastes and textures than actual nutrution.
Just keep offeing different food as well as spaghetti.

They can be fussy little buggers sometimes. I also would continue to keep offering spaghetti as he is probably too young to comprehend that there is nothing else to eat if he doesn't eat whats in front of him. At this stage food is still about tastes and textures so as long as he is getting plenty of milk I wouldn't worry too much.

Hope that helps.

He'd eat just about any puree/mash I'd give him and had a good go at finger food too. Then just in the last week or so he's refusing pretty much everything except spaghetti on toast.
He will eat maybe 1 or 2 baby spoons of mash, and consider some finger foods, but he's not really "eating" anything else.

Do I just keep giving him spaghetti on toast? (I don't feel this is nutritionally sound) Or let him starve till he takes mash/other finger food again?
