We've used one heaps of times and plan on using it again this weekend in the bedrooms/hallway (living room was not long done)... It's amazing the difference it makes!!

I use one everytime I have moved house!! Is great, and not hard to operate....last time we moved I was 31 weeks pregnant and did the whole house myself...including the edges with the extra attachment thingy.
It can make your house smell a bit funky for a bit (usually until the carpet is dry) but it does a good job on getting them clean. Works great and as kebakat said the water is brown when you're finished and same with the stains. If you have a dehumdifier you can dry the carpet quicker. We have, the water comes out looking revolting so it must do a bit of cleaning. It got some stains out of the carpet but not all. I am looking at getting the lounge and hallway cleaned before bubs #3 arrived (in 4 weeks) but don't want to fork out big dollars on a commercial clean.

So has anyone tried this?
What did you think?
Also, does the carpet take long to dry?
