I would recommend it. This was our first month using it & BFP yesterday. Did the whole insertion thing & probably used about a third/half of a tube at a time? Was more than enough. I have the tube of preseed, totally recommend it, it worked for us!
Found it was cheaper to buy the tube than the applicators, and found the applicators a bit of a waste as I would only need 1/3 to 1/2 an applicator, wasnt willing to risk reusing it so would chuck it out.

I used it most months except the month we got UTD... but I don't think that's particularly a negative, it's worked for lots of people I hardly had any CM at all, and since the sperm have to swim through something, I figured it could play quite an important role. I used to applicators for that reason.

On the other hand, if you're just looking for a lube that doesn't harm sperm (rather than trying to replace non-existant CM), the cheaper 'Pre' version should do the trick nicely.

Oh... and I thought you weren't meant to re-use the applicators cos of hygene issues...? Hello!

I was ttc for 10 months until I got my positive. Some of those months were poorly timed.

The month I got my BFP, I used Clomid for the first time, and I used preseed for the first time too. Things were timed really well that month, so I don't know whether it was a combination of timing + clomid + preseed or one of them, but I would definitely say it's worth a shot.

At the end of the day, it's $18 (on trademe) for the 3 applicator pack. It's worth a shot right?

I will definitely use it again when I want to have a baby again.

I only used half an applicator each time too and it was plenty. I got my BFP the first month that I started using it. We had been TTC for 23 months- 10 cycles of clomid, though in saying that I also had a LAP surgery that removed a small amount of endo too the prev month. I think it was the combination of the two....

Preseed mimics EWCM, making it easier for the sperm to swim in, normal lubes can damage and slow down sperm. You can buy it in the applicators or just in the tube which is cheaper. It does seem a little insane making people pay $18 just for 3 applications! I'm having a hard time getting over the cost lol. We used Preseed for the first time this cycle and loved it. But we've never used any sort of lube before so I don't have anything to compare it to. I was just having a look online and you certainly don't get much for your money! But still I might have to give it a try myself. Will be hanging out to see how it goes for you LB
I did see that they have new version just called Pre. It's more of an everyday lubricant that gives your more for your money but I think it has less of the ingredient that helps sperm so it's safe to use while TTC but not as great as the original. Might have to do some more research before I buy.

But yes other lubricants can harm sperm, pressed mimics cervical mucus and does not harm sperm.

Its quite expensive and comes in little applicator tubes, which some say is more than enough and can get more than one use out of them, but preseed does not reccomend this ........ there are other brands out there.

So I'm back on the bandwagon and we are officially TTC #3. Now since I've been lurking around the TTC posts I've heard a few mentions of Preseed lubricant. Has anyone here been using it and is it worth buying?

We occasionally use Durex play lubricant but when I googled Preseed I saw a few comments saying normal lubes like Durex can harm sperm!?!?! I had no idea.
