Author: kat_hutch
Subject: 33067
Posted: 24 April 2010 at 8:14pm

a friend of mine is pretty sure this is what she had with her son, although she never got any definate answers. she had a massive haemorrage (sp) after her son, even had the injection in her leg to stop bleeding as soon as she had him and her placenta pulled out, but this didnt stop it. her MW said something about her placenta not contracting properly, and even the next day the nurses were concerned that it still was really low and hadnt contracted. Does this sound like uterine atony? And if so is there a high risk of it happening again if she was to have another? ANy info would be greatly appreciated :)

Edited by kat_hutch
