Some people can be a bit too precious I think! If baby's happy and mummy's sane I'm all for it.
It says clearly on label they shouldn't use it til they can sit unsupported, which is about 6-7mths old. The warnings on these products are open to interpretation and I would honestly not have thought twice about my child spending 20-30 mins in one while I did the vacuuming. I think I'm a reasonably sensible person..
I also wonder about child seats like Bumbo seats and bouncers (is that what you call those little baby recliners??). How can they learn to roll if they are often sitting in one?

If in Auckland there's a great place called Johnny's Room that hires out toys for quite cheap. We hired one for just $10/month!

Since, we bought one off TM - just a really simple one with hardly any toys - it was cheaper that way and you can switch the toys around yourself.

I think Jaxon just loves being on his feet in it more than anything, the toys are secondary

He really enjoyed being upright and a part of what was going on, having the toys on there and having a bounce around in it.
He still used it for a while after he started walking, it was a great way to keep him contained when I was doing jobs etc.
When you're looking at buying, make sure the toys and seat are removeable for cleaning.
Ours was an Evenflo deluxe.

Edited by caraMel
