We had angry red rash all over at about 3months then I change from wipes to just water and flannel and it healed itself. </P>]]>

If it's persistant we have to use hydrocortizone or it will crack and bleed which is not very nice for her.]]>

Amelia had an angry red rash (no while heads though) and the plunket nurse said thrush.  I used Canestan on it and after a day or 2 it went away.  When she gets a bit of a rash I try the Canestan first now.<br /><br />We also use Zinc and Castor Oil ointment at every nappy change.]]>

It is more of a thicker consistency than the other creams which are more "moist" if you know what I mean.  Creates a better barrier I think, so the rash has time to heal.  I also do lots of nappy off time.  <br /><br />Plunket said to me that part of the problem could be my diet which is acidic, and it is burning as he poos :-(  ]]>

Teyla has nappy rash for the first time - I can only assume its cause I used disposables more than usual while we were away over the weekend - I did use my reusables as much as possible, but washing/drying wasn't that easy .... she's never had it before and I've never used disposables more than one or two a week, so I won't be using them again in a hurry!<br /><br />Her rash is more dry than angry though, I wonder if its cause the disposable sucks away so much moisture?<br /><br />I have a Eco store nappy rash cream that seems to be doing the trick. ]]>

That usually means I get peed on but I can deal with that.<BR><BR>I'll use just the lucas papaw until I see an improvement then start alternating between that and bepanthen once it gets better.<BR><BR>The rash is only on his front (above his bits)&nbsp;and his groin area. Nothing on his bum.<BR>He's a tummy sleeper though so that could be why.]]>

I re-apply a decent amount regularly to keep a good barrier between his skin and poo or wee. <br /><br />It's a bit cold out but can you give him some nappy-off time too?<br /><br />Hope your wee man heals up soon. I was using Bepanthen on it and some days it would look really look like it was almost gone and then by the next nappy change it had come back with a vengence.
